Fashion Design/Product Development
I analyze trends, make color stories/mood boards, and create technical sketches or 3D samples using CAD software like Adobe Illustrator or CLO3D. I am highly knowledgeable about creating on-trend, sellable garments, and designing pieces that are true to the aesthetics of the brand.
I've worked for companies that had pieces in PacSun, Urban Outfitters, Saks Off 5th Shein, Costco, and more.
Tech Packs & Speccing
Achieving the right fit is one of the most important factors in the success of a brand. My experience in Apparel Processes and Advanced Pre-Production allows me to correctly spec a garment, make an accurate Bill of Materials, cost sheets, and finalize a tech pack.
I work in Excel, Gerber Technology web-based PDM system, and other Product Lifecycle Management software.
Textile Applications &
Color Management
One of my passions is Textile Science and Fiber Identification. I excel at sourcing cost-effective and appropriate fabrics for a developing line.
I am equipped with an impeccable understanding of the standards set by the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, and the laws set by the CPSC.
I guarantee quality, on-brand, and beautiful fabrics when I source. I write care labels that are accurate and appropriate to the fabrication of the garment.
Trend Forecasting
Understanding what's coming next in fashion is imperative to the success of a brand. I understand human psychology as it relates to the apparel industry, and how to translate the "zeitgeist" of an era into sellable garments.
Going to trade shows, scouring social media/blogs, utilizing resources such as WGSN, and even watching people on the street enables me to forecast the Next Big Thing.
Accessory Design
From womens socks to adorable animal kids slippers, I can design accessories that fit your brand perfectly.
Including purses, hosiery, shoes, hair accessories, hats, leg warmers, undergarments and more. Keeping designs cohesive, cost-effective, and cute.
